TagAZ Korea will unveil C-100, its first own model, to the Russian Market on this May. TagAZ Korea made a successful business with TAGER and ROAD PARTNER which were purchased from Ssangyong Motors and modified to fit in Russian business situation. Now, it completed a compact sedan, C-100, with its own technology targeting on the C-2 class which is the most popular in the Russian market.
The line-up of C-100 engine specification consists of 1.4L, 1.6L, and 1.8L. Especially, 1.6L and 1.8L specification models support manual and automatic transmission options simultaneously. Besides, MacPherson independence suspension, one of the latest vehicle components is adapted to front and rear wheels for driver’s best comfort.
The basic specification of C-100 includes driver-side airbag, velvet seat trim interior, power window, and ABS. Passenger airbag and leather seat trim are optional extras. The price of 1.4L model would be under $10,000 and the high-end model price including leather seats and automatic air conditioning system is anticipated to be about $15,200 in Russian market.
TagAZ Korea plans to produce and export C-100 to Russia in the half of this year. It will also introduce sedan hatchback and release C-100 sedan with new front design in the second half. Moreover, TagAZ Korea will satisfy customers’ needs by providing various specification and color options.
Engines and other auto parts are provided from TagAZ Korea, and the processes of assembly, welding, and painting are conducted at Taganrog local factory in Russia. Newly-released C-100 will compete with other C-2 class vehicles such as Focus of Ford, Almera of Nissan, and Corolla of Toyota in Russian market.
Korean engineers developed and completed C-100 with the principle of “quality first” for 2 years in TagAZ Korea R&D Center. Now it is drawing the attention of Russia local press with its high quality and reasonable price range. It is expected to become the most popular people’s car since Russia’s transition to capitalism.
